Dicky has discovered his passion for fashion since high school. During his later study in Fashion Design at Hong Kong Design Institute, he applied the 3D pattern cutting technique in his Final Year Project “Locus”, which was featured in the DesignXcel exhibition. He is currently studying in Fashion and Textile Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In his upcoming graduate collection, he wants to further explore different pattern cutting methods to develop special garment silhouettes.
The collection is inspired by “Feminism”. Women in the modern age are receiving growing respect and appreciation, and more and more of them are engaging in the workforce, pushing the society for better development. This collection showcases the tough and strong sides of women through the use of contrasting colours, geometric cuts and metallic trims. Beige and grey tones are used, along with bright highlighting colours like red and white.
